Dr. P V Narayanan

Dr. Narayanan is Department Head at the Charles Pinto Centre for Cleft Lip and Palate, Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, Thrissur. He started his career in general surgery at JIPMER, Pondicherry, and subsequently worked with Apollo Hospital, Chennai. After working as SHO in Plastic Surgery at Royal Preston Hospital, Preston, UK, he returned to India and joined the Charles Pinto Centre under Dr. H. S. Adenwalla. He has been a Smile Train partner surgeon since 2000 and a member of India Medical Advisory Council for many years.
Dr. Narayanan is a Life Member of the Association of Plastic Surgeons of India and the Indian Society of Cleft Lip, Palate and Craniofacial Anomalies. He was involved in devising a pioneering technique of sutural fixation for cleft-affected noses, has been published in Indian and international medical journals, and has presented various papers at several national and international medical conferences. Dr. Narayanan has also conducted various live operative demonstrations at major Indian plastic surgical, pediatric surgical, and cleft surgical workshops.
